The Board of Directors of PSR Canada would like to announce the retirement of Vicky Huehn, who has acted as our CEO for ten years. Please see the following page for a message from her. Vicky was truly a steward and champion of Psychosocial Rehabilitation services across Canada, and we wish her all the best in her retirement. Vicky has asked us to share the following message:
Hello,
After 25 years of volunteering with PSR Canada, I have decided to retire from ‘active duty’.
Over the years I have been blessed to have worked with wonderful people, many of whom I consider friends. Thanks to all of you for your support and energy. We focused on the development of a national community dedicated to the principles and values of evidence-based person-centred services and a certification program that would acknowledge the expertise of practitioners. Our reputation as a credible organization was supported by the success of the WAPR World Congress/National PSR Recovery conference. We wanted to bring people together to learn, share and celebrate our community. We met that goal and now stand in a better resource position to move forward.
I continue to be a PSR Canada member and support the organization and its mission. My home email is vhuehn@gmail.com for those folks who would like to contact me. My passion will never die but regrettably my energy has become limited!
May your life be full of joy and chocolate. Please continue to support our wonderful board of directors and the volunteers who make PSR Canada a success.
Very warmly,
Vicky
