Organizational membership is for:
- service providers
- educational institutions
- family organizations
- peer support organizations
- advocacy or others interested in furthering the objectives of PSR Canada
Is your organization committed to Recovery for people on a journey of dealing with mental illness and/or substance use? Does your in-house education reflect the Canadian competencies? Do you believe that by working together, we can share training and education?
Membership with PSR Canada provides access to research and training materials on evidence-based practices, supporting your organization in strengthening recovery-focused services.
Organization Membership Benefits include:
- The opportunity for you and the members of your organization to earn a nationally endorsed credential in recovery-oriented practices: the Certified Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Practitioner designation.
- While valuable for all staff, this credential is particularly beneficial for non-licensed team members, formally recognizing their skills and contributions.
- Access to educational learning modules designed for onboarding and training, featuring embedded quizzes to assess participants’ understanding of the material.
- Access to a resource library featuring recorded webinars, journal articles, books, and tools that support PSR recovery-oriented practices.
- Discounts on PSR Canada conferences and training events.
- One e-subscription to the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Journal (Boston University) for Category III, IV and V, VI, VII organizations.
- Membership in the World Association of Psychosocial Rehabilitation (WAPR).
- The opportunity to support the efforts of the Canadian Alliance of Mental Illness and Mental Health (CAMIMH) and represent PSR Canada within this coalition.
Organization Membership Fees and Accounts
Organizational membership renewals and new organizational membership applications are now being accepted for the April 1, 2025 – March 31, 2026 membership year. Memberships will be activated as soon as payment is received; thus, early access can be granted if payment is received before April 1, 2025.
Administrative Accounts
Administrative accounts provide access to organizational resources and tools. Each organizational member receives an administrative account, linked to the email used during membership creation. This email also serves as the login for electronic access to the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Journal (for organizations with a subscription).
These accounts include learning modules for organizational use, such as orientation materials to support staff education and onboarding. These resources help staff understand how to apply recovery-oriented practices using psychosocial rehabilitation tools.
Individual Accounts
Individual accounts are assigned by the organization administrator to a single user and are intended only for that individual’s use. They provide access to:
- A library of recorded webinars
- Links to evidence-based resources, including journal articles
These accounts also allow users to purchase an application for their Certified PSR Practitioner credential and track ongoing education requirements.
